Group Camping

Year Round, Affordable Group Camping

We welcome groups to come and enjoy all that Lock 30 Woodlands has to offer.

Large groups can be accommodated in shoulder seasons, weekdays, and only occasionally during peak season. (Memorial Day to Labor Day) We offer more than 60 full hook up sites featuring up to 50 amp metered electric. All sites are shaded, some have concrete pads and all have fire rings and picnic tables. No one camps in front of you and no one camps behind you.
Electric and water tenting sites are always in high demand and requested from year to year by our returning groups. Call as soon as you have tentative dates so we can at least "pencil" you in. Confirmation of dates occurs upon receipt of actual deposit.
Ask about your group purchasing bulk firewood at discounted prices. Because of Emerald Ash Borer and other plant and insect diseases, we prohibit the transporting of any outside firewood. More than ten thousand trees enhance this 65 acre historic property, featuring one mile of wooded river front. We will comply with all Ohio Department of Agriculture recommendations to protect our most valuable asset: our wilderness camping opportunities.
Kitchen use, exclusive clubhouse and/or pavilion use is reserved in advance; additional charges, security deposits or restrictions may apply.
Please ask before arrival whether these facilities will be available and if aditional charges apply.
We will do all we can to accomodate you at the best price possible, but cannot offer exclusive use of some amenities during peak holiday times.
To better serve all our campers, we require each party to confirm their own reservation with us, if advance group payment/deposit is not made.
We will send wagon masters and group-camping cordinator (person responsible for payment) a letter outlining expected costs and group camping guidelines, when requested.
We want all members of the group to enjoy their stay and to avoid any "no one told me that" embarrassment. Call with questions or drop us an email so we can help with group camping plans.

The pavilion seats 250 people.  Equipped with plenty of picnic tables, electric, handicap accessible restrooms, and a commercial-size grill, all you need to bring is the food! This shelter-in-the-woods is perfect for a family reunion, summer work party or a birthday party featuring custom rides on our newly refurbished fire truck. Ask for details.
